Dr. Chetan S. Sankar
Director and Professor of MIS
Dr. Chetan Sankar is a Thomas Walter Distinguished Professor of Management at Auburn University’s College of Business. He is the founder and co-director of the Laboratory for Innovative Technology and Engineering Education (LITEE). He received his Ph.D. in Decision Sciences from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His research interests focus on researching innovative practices to integrate teaching, research, and outreach both locally and globally.
Dr. Paramjit “Perry” Kahai
Asst. Director & Adjunct Professor
Dr. Kahai is an alumnus of the Harbert College of Business, having graduated with a PhD in MIS in 1994. After several years as a faculty member at various universities, and subsequently as an entrepreneur, he decided to come back to Auburn and continue his business activities. He runs The Kahai Group, LLC, a firm offering Geospatial services, is the Asst. Director of GRAC, and is an adjunct faculty in the College teaching Electronic Commerce classes. He brings to GRAC expertise in a variety of technical areas that align closely with the activities and goals of GRAC. He has been with GRAC since August 2012.
Management Scientist, ATAC
David Mixson is a Management Scientist with Auburn Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) at Auburn University. He is the Director of Auburn University EDA University Center. At ATAC, he assists business with marketing strategies, planning and tactics. He received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Auburn University.
Dr. Luke Marzen
Associate Professor of Geography
Dr. Marzen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology and Geography, Auburn University. He received his Ph.D from Kansas State University in Geography. He is founder and co-director of AlabamaView. His research interests revolve around the use of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to examine land use changes and the impacts that those changes have on the environment.

Walker Jackson is a Management Scientist with Auburn Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) at Auburn University. At ATAC, he provides support and expertise in areas related to business, economic development and assessment programs. He received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Georgia College.
GIS Coordinator City of Gulf Shores
Steve Henderson graduated from Auburn University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is currently working on his master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems in a online program from Pennsylvania State University. Steve has worked for the City of Gulf Shores, Alabama since 1994, for the first 13 years in the Public Works Department, dealing with development issues, maintenance and repair projects, and hurricane recovery. During that time, he helped develop the City’s network and information systems infrastructure, including developing the City’s GIS. He moved full time into the Information Systems Division in 2007 as the GIS Coordinator to expand GIS utilization.
Darrell Rigsby is a Graduate student in Geography and Community Planning at Auburn University. He is responsible for leading student teams involving data collection and recovery, data analysis and project documentation.
